Comedy of Errors

You’d think as a former air hostess I’d be at the gate lounge for boarding on time! Nup. Strolling along with an early morning coffee and croissant in hand I spot ground staff peering into the distance calling my name. So much for a leisurely breakfast before boarding.

In the kerfuffle of loading my back pack into the overhead locker a woman gives me a very dark look.   Not knowing what I’d done i simply said sorry. She then handed me a bottle of water which had fallen from the backpack on her head. Funny. Not.

Then there are the wins. The successes. Unbelievably on Good Friday in multicultural Dandenong I was able to exchsnge Aussie dollars for Mexican peso – it was a breeze.

The long way there. Mel. Syd. Auckland. Chile. Mexico.

184 years young. Two of my neighbours, Gwen and Jean, in their early 90’s sitting on blue and gold ‘queen’ chairs on the portico of my house the night before leaving country Victoria for Melbourne.

A couple of nights with my Mum who is 90 this year. Then a 4.30am shared Uber to the airport.

Jean & Gwen

On Easter Sunday in Melbourne the coldest Easter in 80 years is predicted. For the last 30 years my large family head off camping in Yea for Easter.  Saturday nights are the annual Performance Nights … anything from a mock wedding, to impromptu acts, Olympics and this years theme is ‘The Best Of’.  Prizes are awarded, especially to the silliest and most funny.

Given I’m not there this year I recorded one of my crazy sisters ‘woke’ sendups.

Kezza Bell aka The Nutter

Thanks for flying with me.
