Stay A While

Maybe I’ll stay on the isle for a while

Weeks, months or perhaps years

In this pristine place fears and tears

Subside with falling tides

The Pacific ebbs and flows

Eddies soften hearts and toes

Of those drawn to this blessed land.

Abuse of the past claimed the dammed

Called by frequency and sound

Pounding pledges to your crown

Maybe you’ll see blue dragons soaring

Slipstreams of light down pouring

Landscape. Mindscape.

Soundscape too

Liminal scraping of your brain

Enticing reclaimation of your domain

Inner and outer boundaries blur

Memories stir in all directions

Offering resurrection anew

A new You

Ponder the impossible !

In silent stillness

Serene

Stately

Sentinel

Sovereign

Is your witness

The Norfolk Pine
